Print jobs not showing up in the release queue
Well, some other students had been pushing buttons on Penguin a few minutes before while they tried to figure out how to use the copy function. I think that in the process, they managed to put Penguin “offline”.
To fix, I went to Penguin and hit the print button, then went into the Printer menu (the one we use to clear the red light not the one that lists the jobs in the queue). When I accessed that menu, the “offline” was highlighted so I pushed “online” and her jobs showed up on the queue soon after.
I did see that the Print menu doesn’t always go to the offline/online option. If it doesn’t, click on “exit” and see if you see the offline/online choices.

Printer errors
I have amended our POYNET Copier troubleshooting guide with an entry about Error Codes in light of our latest issue.
Error Codes
Here's the snippet from "above" in the section....
Step Two - Soft and Hard Reset - Turn the power button on the right off, and then on (soft reset). If this does not change the situation, turn the power off again and also turn off the hard button on the left-hand side of the printer. Also, turn off the ISOTEL surge protector attached to the machine, this will turn off the change box as well as the printer. (This is a hard reset) Wait 20 seconds, then power it up again.

Paying Online Tuition
1. The page is down – Steve Allen in Tampa is responsible for this page (974-8803). The student may call and see if there are any system problems.
2. Some debit cards have a limit on how much you can pay at one time, and tuition is possibly over that limit. The student will have to verify their debit card limitations, if any.
According to a big sign up by the Cashier's office, students using "Bank cards" must use this online system. Do not know if "bank cards" applies to credit cards as well but debit cards are definite.
New ID Policy
All those seeking an ID must come to the ID Office FIRST in order to determine their status. Then they go to the Cashier’s office with a stamp from Media Services as to whether their ID is a first time ID ($10) or a replacement ($15). Please let all of your staff and students know this, and inform everyone that they MUST come to the ID Office BEFORE going to the Cashier’s Office.
